Fahrenbruch Triplets!

Ever try to wrestle an octopus into a bag? Make that three of them and you might understand why you cannot ask three adorable babies to sit still for you. No matter, we are all together and we must find magic!

Today is their baptism, so they are all dressed for the occasion. While we are at the church, their mother Michelle says she would like some nice pictures of the babies outside. It is starting to sprinkle a little bit, but I noticed a small retention pond in one corner of the property. I asked them for a blanket, so their clothes wouldn't get ruined before the big ceremony. We enlisted the help of several "handlers" i.e. cousins to help keep the babies situated while I grabbed the shots. Well let's just say the handlers earned their money. They were never able to get far from the action as one baby or another would always need adjusting.

Michelle and her family are a great bunch of people. They are just one of those families that you bond with easily. This is my second opportunity to work with them and it is always a pleasure. I am sure Kennedy, Carli and Nicholas have already realized what I am talking about.

Miss Indiana 2005, Susan (Guilkey) Beckwith

Have you ever been asked by a certified beauty queen to take her pictures for an advertising campaign she is involved with? No? Well here's how it goes, at first you are delighted that you were asked, then immediately you start to sweat because you know she has been photographed by quite a few very capable and talented photographers and you get the feeling she is hoping you will raise the bar this time. Otherwise, why not ask one of them? I'm just sayin'.

Working with Susan was a great experience. When the lights come on and the camera is out of the bag, she is on and fully capable of bringing it. Pray you don't get a cramp in your trigger finger as you try to keep up with her. I actually blew the power pack to my studio strobes from cycling too many times. I can't say that has ever happened to me before. So many great looks, it seemed there was no effort on her part, at all.

Thank you Susan.
